Yamanouchi Municipal Yamanouchi Junior High School, 1st grade students

Yamanouchi Junior High School has provided ESD toward recommendations for regional revitalization that we will make in our third year. In the first year, we learned about the importance of efforts aimed at ecosystem conservation and coexistence with human society through an overnight trip at Shiga Highland Biosphere Reserve. Focusing on hot springs, which are tourist attractions in the region where we live, we learned about the historical background of hot springs and the efforts and awareness of the hotel industry today. Through the learning, we identified issues toward regional revitalization and provided the basis for making recommendations.
